KATHMANDU, May 4 -- The District Administration Office(DAO) Kathmandu on Monday imposed prohibitory orders in some areas of Nepali capital Kathmandu. The areas include Nepali President's residence in Shital Niwas and Army Headquarters and its surrounding areas, local news website THT online reported. All types of protests have been banned in and around these areas. Security personnel have also been posted at campuses in large numbers to avoid any untoward incident. The prohibitory decision came following the political unrest after government sacked Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) Rookmangud Katawal on Sunday. |
