With a specialized focus on women's and children's health services, our Colonel Harland Sanders Family Care Centre, the first of its kind to be located in any hospital in Canada, brings all these services together under one roof. It's child-friendly treatment and waiting room areas feature interactive wall décor, an innovative playroom and bright colours designed with input from children in the community. Credit Valley Hospital has a total of 366 beds and provides a variety of clinical services involving ten programs: general medicine, surgery, renal, oncology, emergency, mental health, continuing care/rehabilitation, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and cardiac services.
The facility covers an area of 770,000 square feet and is planning to add another 270,000 square foot building to accommodate complex continuing care, pediatrics, labour & delivery and laboratory services with an extra 140 beds. Construction is planning to begin in 2007/08 and anticipated completion in 2010/11.
