Parents who have not yet registered their children for school are being encouraged to do so next week.1 c& N; ]0 l9 q' g( `1 `6 d
Parents of children who'll be attending kindergarten at the Peel District School Board in the fall can register children for school from Aug. 29 to Sept. 2 at their neighbourhood school. Parents of high school students who need to register their teens are asked to call the school for registration details.2 a0 O' r: m% g- O2 D
Parents must provide proof of age, proof of address in Peel and the child’s immunization and education records. In some cases, immigration documents may be needed.+ [: w; c& G( r" ?: q. ^7 l' L6 h
Acceptable registration documents are:. O2 z& b- ^* p4 m
• birth certificate, birth registration card or passport for proof of age5 V- g1 D& y5 y. t+ @; I# d
• purchase agreement, utility bills, bank statement or government-issued forms for proof of address Y8 Q6 \9 h* \- V8 V4 J/ B
• yellow card or record from last country of residence, or Peel health form for immunization proof. h3 X* O! I; I+ Z+ T( ~/ ]# W
• citizenship documentation, permanent resident card, or record of landing (IMM5292) for immigration status
2 i k+ R5 @. x2 X# W3 \ [' s( B6 J# O• recent report cards and/or school leaving certificate (secondary students only) for education records
% s: g% d: z) v8 _For general inquiries about immunization, the immunization schedule or to determine if a child’s record is up-to-date, parents can call Health Line Peel at 905-799-7700. An exemption form can be obtained if a child has not been immunized for medical reasons or because of a conflict of religion or conscience.
