Parents who have not yet registered their children for school are being encouraged to do so next week.
9 W, s3 P$ p- gParents of children who'll be attending kindergarten at the Peel District School Board in the fall can register children for school from Aug. 29 to Sept. 2 at their neighbourhood school. Parents of high school students who need to register their teens are asked to call the school for registration details.
  {% `, [" x# O8 G4 A/ b7 v; GParents must provide proof of age, proof of address in Peel and the child’s immunization and education records. In some cases, immigration documents may be needed.
Acceptable registration documents are:
• birth certificate, birth registration card or passport for proof of age
: S) W" }% |4 G) e" k  t• purchase agreement, utility bills, bank statement or government-issued forms for proof of address
• yellow card or record from last country of residence, or Peel health form for immunization proof
• citizenship documentation, permanent resident card, or record of landing (IMM5292) for immigration status
• recent report cards and/or school leaving certificate (secondary students only) for education records
For general inquiries about immunization, the immunization schedule or to determine if a child’s record is up-to-date, parents can call Health Line Peel at 905-799-7700. An exemption form can be obtained if a child has not been immunized for medical reasons or because of a conflict of religion or conscience.
