Established in 1967, the University of Toronto Mississauga is the second-largest division of the University of Toronto (Canada's largest university), numbering about 11,700 undergraduate students, 500 graduate students, 740 faculty and staff as well as over 40,000 alumni.

The newly opened $37-million Terrence Donnelly Health Sciences Complex, including the new Mississauga Academy of Medicine, as well as the $70-million Instructional Centre, provide an array of teaching and study space for students.
The William G. Davis Building and the North Building are set to undergo a $75 million reconstruction and renovation, providing high-tech laboratory space, faculty offices and study space.
